Analysis of impurity contents in Transformer oil by high-resolution ICP-OES

In the product control of heavy oil fractions reduction of the matrix-specific detection limits is of great significance, yet the plasma performance at high sample loadings, sensitivity and spectral resolution are limiting factors. Here, an insulating oil sample used in electric transformer units was analysed for elemental specification analysis.
