Elemental Analysis Seminar 2019

SciMed are holding a one day technical seminar on techniques used in the field of elemental analysis.  SciMed is the UK’s largest provider of analytical techniques for elemental analysis. 

SciMed’s broad wide range of techniques allows the greatest range of solutions to any analytical challenge.

This free to attend event includes a number of technical talks along with a buffet lunch and a chance to discuss with technical experts your current and future analytical requirements.

The following technical seminar will start at 10:30am with registration starting from 10am. 

• Why use XRF and what XRF approach to use (ED, WD TXRF)

• AAS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS: am I using the right solution for my application?

• Flame photometers –  when are they relevant for elemental analysis?

• Combustion methods for the analysis for C, N, S, Cl. Novel applications and methods

• Solid sampling methods for AAS and ICP

• Elemental mapping of materials by WD-XRF, ED-XRF and EDS

• Open Forum: do you have an elemental analysis challenge? What is the right solution?

• Discussions and demonstrations

The seminar will be held at SciMed’s offices in Stockport, SK4 3GN. We are conveniently located 10 minutes from J1 of the M56 and 10 minutes from J1 of the M60. If you wish to travel by train we are 10 minutes by taxi from Stockport rail station (main London-Manchester line) and 15 minute walk from both East Didsbury rail station and tram stop.
