The PCT Pro is a gas sorption instrument based on the Sieverts method. The sample in a holder of known volume and pressure is connected , via an isolation valve to a gas reservoir of known volume and pressure. When the valve is opened and new equilibrium is established and the gas sorption volume is measured by the pressure drop. Various gases ,up to pressures of 200 bar, can be studied such as CO2,CH4, C2H6, N2, NH3 and H2), and these can be absorbed onto powders, liquids, films etc. Types of measurement include temperature programmed sorption and de-sorption (-260°C to 500°C), kinetics as function of pressure and temperature, pressure -composition isotherms, and cycling measurements
