This instrument allows us to characterise a ferromagnetic material by measuring the specific saturation magnetisation (SSM) which is independent of structure and shape of the material. This measurement is performed by driving a sample in and out of a magnetic field and measuring the emf induced in a coil. The SSM is the ratio of the maximum magnetic moment to the sample mass. This technique is a unique solution to quality control for ferromagnetic compounds.
