As with all individuals and businesses in the UK,
our employees and SciMed have been adjusting to the restrictions due to
COVID-19 from both a business and personal perspective.
Amongst SciMed’s extensive client base, there
are a number who are currently offering essential services to our nation. As a
result, our services remain available for those needing them.
Here is what SciMed is doing during these
difficult times time to support our customer base.
We are open for business with 96% of our staff
working from home but with full connectivity. As a result, all your
normal contacts are available to help with your queries and answer your
questions through the normal means.
Our stores are
operating a
reduced number of hours (7:00-14:00) but are able to process orders and
dispatch goods daily.
Our service engineers are still able to visit
customer sites to perform breakdown jobs where the analyser is a critical
part of the client’s operation. This is specifically the case for
sectors that are deemed to be critical to the UKs response to COVID-19.
Their method of work has been adjusted to allow them to protect themselves
as you should they need to come to site.
Remote service
support is
available when appropriate.
Almost all our suppliers are
still open for business as well: We are in constant dialogue with our
suppliers to determine how COVID-19 is affecting them and their supply
change. This allows us to determine what impact there may be to the
ability of SciMed to supply our customer base. Where needed we are
preordering items to minimise any potential disruption. This is
especially true for analysers that are used in key-industries for COVID-19
Our Product Managers are still available to help
While the majority of our sales team are working
from home, they are able to offer the following services
Remote support using
applications such as Teamviewer
Equipment and application
presentations using MS Teams
Live demos of equipment
We also plan to run several webinars of the
common weeks and information on these will be sent out in due course.
I hope that all of the above assures you that
SciMed is doing as much as possible to minimise the disruption that COVID-19 is
causing and supporting our employees and customers through this difficult time.
