You call that a stirred reactor?

This event has now taken place. You can still register to access our recording of the webinar

Please join us for a 60 minute webinar on stirred high pressure reactors with both practical demonstrations and discussions about stirring in a variety of applications in high pressure reactors.

This webinar will define what is meant by a stirred reactor, discuss the mechanical obstacles that need to be overcome to provide mechanical stirring in a high pressure environment, and look at some interesting examples of what is possible in a Parr stirred reactor.

Who should attend?

Scientists, engineers, and laboratory staff members who use high pressure stirred reactors in the laboratory or pilot plant.

What will be presented?

  • Discussion of the benefits of using mechanical stirring over magnetic flea stirrers.
  • Discussion of the technical challenge of sealing around a rotating stirrer.
  • Demonstration stirring in a small stirred reactor, and examples of stirring in large reactors and stirring of difficult media in Parr reactors.
  • Questions and open discussion.
