Copper Strip Corrosion from Lubricating Grease

The measurement of the tendency of lubricating grease to corrode copper under static conditions is an important parameter.

A polished copper strip is immersed in a sample at elevated temperature for a specified period. The strip is examined for corrosion and a classification number from 1-4 is assigned based on a comparison with the ASTM Copper Strip Corrosion Standards.

The constant temperature bath has the capacity for the immersion of up to 16 test jars. The temperature of the bath can be measured in °C or °F and has a digital setpoint and display.

·       Conforms to ASTM D4048 specifications
