KV5000 Kinematic Viscosity Bath with Optical Flow Detection

The KV5000 kinematic viscosity bath has an optical flow detection system which accurately measures sample flow and automatically calculates kinematic viscosity results. The system allows automatic measurement and results calculation for up to five viscometer tubes, with two additional positions available for manual measurements. All positions can be used in manual mode and are suitable for Ubbelohde, Cannon®Fenske, and Reverse Flow viscometers.

A dual digital display allows for both the setpoint and actual bath temperature to be displayed. Safety features include a low fluid level and over temperature cut off. A motorised stirrer provides complete circulation without turbulence and a built-in cooling coil facilitates temperature control at ambient or below ambient temperatures.

The system can be used in standalone mode or with an external PC. The viscosity software automatically downloads test data and calculates final test results from sample efflux times. The software also includes a database for storing test data, determining test averages, standard deviations, and ASTM test repeatability as well as providing a method for tracking both instrument and viscometer tube calibrations.
