Paul Vanden Branden - Company Director
Paul studied in France and has a Masters in Physics from the University of Lille as well as an Engineering Degree in Scientific Instrumentation from Polytech School of Engineering.
Paul has been working with the scientific community all his career starting off as an XRF Application Specialist. Over the years he has worked on many laboratory techniques such as ICP-OES, Spark OES , Gas Detection and many others. He joined SciMed in early 2005 as a product manager and eventually became a director of the company.

Benoit Decanter - Sales Director
More 20 years of experience in the petro industry equipments through different positions and different companies like PAC (service engineer, sales , service manager), Petrotest/Anton Paar (Area Sales Manager, Key account Manager), CFR engines (Sales Manager Eastern Hemisphere) and AD Systems since 2018 (Sales Director).

David Dale - Product Manager
Dave has worked with thermal analysis and process safety equipment for over 35 years many of which were spent in the pharmaceutical industry as a global lead of process safety.
Dave joined SciMed in 2011 as the thermal analysis and process safety product manager supporting product ranges from Fauske and Associates, Navas and Setaram.

Vincent Colantuoni
Vincent Colantuoni is the Product Manger in the Sales and Marketing Department at Koehler Instruments who are a manufacturer of Petroleum Testing Equipment.
Vincent has been a prominent member of ASTM International since 2008 and sits on several subcommittees in Committee D02 on Petroleum Products, Liquid Fuels, and Lubricants serving as the Chairman and the Technical Contact for several ASTM methods.

John Austin – XRF Applications Specialist
Covers Energy-Dispersive XRF (ED-XRF), Wavelength-Dispersive XRF (WD-XRF), Micro-XRF for small spot analysis, and XRF sample preparation solutions.
John has over ten years of extensive laboratory experience of many XRF applications, such as within the aerospace industry, academia, waste management, RoSH, metals, ceramics, glasses, cements, fuels, oils, battery research, geology, jewellery, and let’s not forget about the weird and wonderful!
He also develops and validates methods from simple to complex, creates high-performance calibrations specific to the needs of the customer, and provide crucial support to our customers whenever they need it.

David Bellis - Application Support Scientist
David has over 25 years’ of experience in ICP-MS and other analytical techniques, working in academia, research, and industry. He joined SciMed in October 2020 specialising in Analytik Jena instrumentation.

DR. Tom Knott - Product Manager
With a background in academia, Tom brings extensive experience in identifying and developing analytical methods to achieve successful research outcomes.
At SciMed, he has supported numerous companies in meeting their critical requirements by providing tailored advice and solutions in collaboration with maintenance and engineering teams.

Bronwen Steadman - Product Manager
Bronwen has over 20 years experience with analytical instrumentation working with a variety of techniques and industries during that period.
She joined SciMed in 2022 and looks after instruments from Koehler and AD Systems for Lubricants Testing, the InfraCal for Oils and Greases measurements, the Sherwood range of instruments for elemental analysis and the Schmidt and Haensch range for polarimetry, refractometry and density.
