Product FAQ's

The SCHMIDT + HAENSCH ATR V / VT laboratory refractometer measures the refractive index of liquid samples and supports standard scales including sucrose (Brix). It is suitable for routine quality control, laboratory analysis and production environments where accurate and repeatable concentration measurements are required.

The ATR V and ATR VT both provide precise refractive index and Brix measurement. The key difference is that ATR VT models include integrated Peltier temperature control, making them particularly suitable for applications where controlled sample temperature is important for accurate and repeatable results.

Yes. The ATR V / VT can measure sucrose concentration from 0 to 100 Brix, making it suitable for a wide range of food and beverage applications. Typical samples include honey, syrups, jam, fruit extracts, soft drinks, fruit juice, dairy products, chocolate and other liquid food products.

The ATR V / VT requires only a small sample volume for analysis, making it suitable for routine laboratory and quality control work. The standard minimum sample volume is approximately 600 µL, while an optional micro-volume insert can reduce the required sample volume to less than 10 µL.

Laboratory refractometers such as the ATR V / VT are used across food and beverage, chemical, petrochemical and quality control laboratories. Applications include measuring products such as oils, fats, waxes, syrups, beverages, dairy products and other liquids where refractive index or Brix measurement is required.
