K11420 Portable Digital Conductivity Meter

This Instrinsically Safe (listed by UL and UCIE) conductivity meter is used for the determination of the electrical conductivity of aviation and distillate fuels with and without a static dissipater additive.

The test normally gives a measurement of the conductivity when the fuel is uncharged, ie, electrically at rest (known as the rest conductivity). The unit displays conductivity units (CU), which are defined as picosiemens per meter in ASTM D2624.

K11440 Micro-Separometer

K11440 Micro-Separometer

For Determining Water Separation Characteristics of Aviation Turbine Fuels by Portable Separometer

Conforms to the specifications of: ASTM D3948, D4860, D7224, D7261

The Micro-Separometer is a rapid portable means to rate the ability of aviation turbine fuels to release entrained or emulsified water when passed through fiberglass coalescing material. This provides a measure of the presence of surfactants in aviation turbine fuels which are known to degrade the performance of filter separators which are used to remove water from the fuel.

The presence of this water can impair engine performance and initiate microbiological growth, which can cause corrosion in tanks and filter plugging in fuel lines.

The Micro-Separometer is an electro-mechanical instrument and contains a turbidimeter, a mechanical mixer, and a disposable filter. The whole process is timed and the user must perform each part of the test  at the appropriate time. A portion of the sample, is used to set the meter to read 100. Another portion of the sample is used to create a water/fuel emulsion using the mixer.

The emulsion is passed through the filter at a programmed rate and a portion is collected, the turbidity is measured and the water separation characteristic of the fuel is rated.

K13270 AC100 Petroleum Colourimeter

For Saybolt Colour of Petroleum Products (Saybolt Chromometer Method) D156

D156 (Saybolt Colour) is the determination of the colour of refined oils such as undyed motor and aviation gasoline, jet propulsion fuels, naphthas and kerosine, and, in addition, petroleum waxes and pharmaceutical white oils.

The K13270 has a large colour touchscreen for easy navigation through the menu options.   Users can measure wavelengths from 380nm to 720nm to measure the five most important colour scales which are used for fuels, resins, oils and fats for liquid colour measurement. With its with reference beam technology the unit provides high precision photometric colour measurements. The instrument can store up to 400 colour readings.

Conforms to the specifications of: ASTM D156, D1209, D5386, D1544, D6045, D1500;

K23900 Kinematic Viscosity Bath

K23900 Kinematic Viscosity Bath

For Kinematic Viscosity of Transparent and Opaque Liquids (and Calculation of Dynamic Viscosity)

This constant temperature bath with microprocessor PID circuitry assures precise, reliable temperature control within ASTM specified stability and uniformity throughout the operating range of the bath. This temperature control uniformity is assured by the integrated stirrer and baffling system for uniform bath temperature distribution.

The simple push-button controls and dual digital displays mean easy setting and monitoring of bath temperature. Seven glass capillary viscometers of various types can be used and viewing the viscometers is assisted by LED illumination inside the bath plus a baffle which provides a background for easy viewing.

Conforms to the specifications of: ASTM D445, D6074, D6158; IP 71 and more

Temperature Control Range: 20°C to 100°C

K646 Constant Temperature Hydrometer Bath, 6 and 12-Place

For Density, Relative Density (Specific Gravity), or API Gravity of Crude Petroleum and Liquid Petroleum Products by Hydrometer Method

Conforms to the Specifications of: ASTM D1298, D6074, D6158; ISO 3675

The hydrometer bath can be used to measure the density, relative density (specific gravity) or API (American Petroleum Institute) gravity determination of several products including crude petroleum, liquid petroleum products and mixtures of petroleum and non-petroleum products.

This versatile constant temperature bath has been designed for density/gravity determinations of petroleum products at temperatures up to 90°C, and can also be used for Reid Vapor Pressure determinations using immersion bombs.

Quick temperature stabilization without overshoot is achieved using the digital temperature control. The unit is protected by an overtemperature control circuit that will interrupt power if the bath temperature exceeds the programmed cut-off point.
