SNRG Block Acid Digestion System by AnalytiChem
The SNRG Block delivers flexible, uniform acid digestion with interchangeable graphite inserts and intuitive touchscreen control.
Product Overview
The SNRG Block System from AnalytiChem is a flexible thermal digestion platform for digesting water, wastewater, soil, sludge, mining and other material samples before analysis. Available in two formats, System 1 or System 2, it uses removable PTFE-coated graphite inserts to accommodate either 15 ml, 50 ml or 100 ml sample tubes. The system operates up to 240°C and provides temperature uniformity of ±1.5°C even at this high temperature. An integrated 7-inch touchscreen controller enables users to create multi-step methods, monitor digestion progress and store run data. Depending on the configuration, the SNRG Block can process between 12 and 96 samples.

About the SNRG Block Acid Digestion System by AnalytiChem
Flexible acid digestion for modern laboratories
The SNRG Block System is designed for laboratory digestion and evaporation workflows involving water, wastewater, soil, sludge, mining and other material samples. It provides controlled, uniform heating before downstream elemental analysis techniques such as ICP-OES and ICP-MS. The platform is particularly relevant to environmental testing, metals analysis, geological samples, catalysts and battery-related materials.
Two system sizes and multiple capacities
System 1 is intended for lower-throughput laboratories and accepts one removable graphite insert. System 2 is designed for medium to high throughput and accepts two inserts. Each insert can be selected to suit 15 ml, 50 ml or 100 ml tubes.
A 15 ml insert holds 48 samples, a 50 ml insert holds 24 samples and a 100 ml insert holds 12 samples. This means System 2 can accommodate from 24 to 96 samples. Different insert sizes can also be used together in System 2, giving laboratories greater flexibility when processing mixed workloads.
Uniform heating and chemical resistance
The removable inserts are manufactured from solid graphite and coated with PTFE to support high heating uniformity, efficient heat transfer and resistance to chemical attack and corrosion.
The SNRG Block operates at temperatures up to 240°C and achieves uniformity of ±1.5°C at 240°C. An optional external temperature sensor can be placed in a representative sample blank or similar matrix to provide direct sample-temperature monitoring and tighter method control.
Touchscreen method control and data handling
An integrated 7-inch touchscreen controller provides clear access to system settings, live digestion progress and stored methods. The controller includes a built-in magnet for mounting outside a fume hood and a low-profile kickstand, in combination with a 6” cable, for bench use.
Users can create methods with up to three heating steps and three temperature hold steps, then save up to 60 data files. USB-A connectivity is included, with Wi-Fi functionality available in selected markets.
Designed to fit established sample preparation workflows
The SNRG Block is designed to support common metals digestion procedures, including EPA methods for solid and water samples. Compatible racks, DigiTubes, external temperature sensing accessories and filtration products allow laboratories to build a complete sample preparation workflow around the system.
For UK and Ireland customers, SciMed can advise on the most suitable block size, insert configuration, accessories and consumables for the required sample type, throughput and method.
