SciMed is proud to support Promethean Particles, a specialist in the development and industrial-scale manufacture of high-quality, cost-effective metal-organic frameworks, or MOFs.

Promethean Particles approached SciMed for analytical and reactor equipment to strengthen its in-house characterisation and application-testing capabilities. SciMed supplied an X-ray fluorescence analyser to quantify metal loading within MOF powders and liquid samples, alongside a Parr high-pressure reactor for investigating the potential of MOFs in gas-storage applications.

SciMed supported the project from initial consultation and sample testing through to equipment selection, installation and training. The new systems are helping Promethean Particles enhance quality control, provide valuable characterisation data to its customers and investigate new industrial applications for MOF materials.
